About Values Based Recruitment
Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust has an established set of values and a behaviour framework that is used to underpin everything we do. Recruitment managers use questions directly linked to the trust’s values and behaviours framework when recruiting. TEWV has a strong values driven culture and a challenge during the recruitment process is to identify potential candidates that will best fit with our values and behaviours. Our staff’s values and behaviours are just as important as the skills and qualifications they hold, as such values based recruitment forms an integral part of the interview process. A bank of values-based interview questions have been developed for recruiting managers to use. These questions, based on the trust’s values and behaviours framework have helped to recruit staff who are the right fit for the organisation, overall improving the patient experience.
