- Notice of Election (nominations open) – Wednesday 22 April
- Nominations deadline – Friday 8 May
- Summary of valid nominated candidates published – Monday 11 May
- Final date for candidate withdrawal – Wednesday 13 May
- Notice of Poll published – Thursday 28 May
- Close of election – Thursday 18 June

- Public City of York and Rest of England – 1 vacancy (3 year term)
- Public, Darlington – 1 vacancy (3 year term)
- Public, Durham – 2 vacancies (3 year terms)
- Public, Hartlepool – 2 vacancies (3 year terms)
- Public, Middlesbrough – 1 vacancy (3 year term)
- Public, North Yorkshire – 3 vacancies (3 year terms)
- Public, Redcar and Cleveland – 2 vacancies (1x 2 year term and 1x 3 year term)

Who can become a Governor?
You can stand for election as a public governor if you are a member of our Trust and are at least 16 years old. However, you can only nominate yourself for governor vacancies in the constituency in which you are a member.
You can stand for election as a staff Governor if you are employed by the Trust on a permanent contract, or a fixed-term contract of 12 months or more, or you have been employed by the Trust for a continuous period of over 12 months. You must also work in the staff class you wish to represent.

CES are administering the election on behalf of our Trust.

All nominations should be received by the Returning Officer at the address or website as detailed above, by 5pm on Friday 8 May 2026.
Should any nominee wish to withdraw their nomination, they must put this in writing to the Returning Officer by 5pm on Wednesday 13 May 2026.
For all contested constituencies voting will open on Friday 29 May 2026. Voting will close at 5pm on Thursday 18 June 2026.
