We provide mental health services for people living in Teesside, County Durham, Darlington, North Yorkshire and Selby.

This page includes information that you, or someone you have noticed isn’t feeling themselves, could find helpful.

You can self-refer to some services, but others may require you to speak to your GP for a referral.

Our ARCH Recovery College in Durham has a range of sessions to people with experience of mental illness, including patients, their family, friends and staff.

Should I speak to my GP about my mental health?

You may consider booking a GP appointment, if you’ve been feeling down for a couple of weeks or more. They can talk with you and may refer you to services that can help. Your GP can also tell you about antidepressants. You can refer yourself to talking therapies (information above), but some people prefer to speak to their GP first.
