We’re inviting people from across our communities to stand for election as Trust Governors and help shape the future of mental health and learning disability services.
We want to hear from new voices and a wide range of backgrounds. As a governor, you’ll play an important role in making sure local people’s views help influence how our Trust develops and improves.
Could you be one of our next Trust Governors?
You don’t need any previous experience. Full training, guidance and support is provided to every governor, helping you feel confident in the role.
To stand for election, you need to:
- Be 16 or over
- Live in the constituency you want to represent
- Be a member of our Trust (membership is free)
What do Trust Governors do?
As a governor, you will:
- Speak up for members and the public, representing the views of patients, carers, staff, stakeholders and local communities
- Hold the Board to account, asking questions and seeking assurance about how the Trust is performing
- Be involved in key decisions, including the appointment of the Chief Executive and the Trust’s auditor
- Help shape the Trust’s future direction, ensuring members’ voices are heard at the highest level
