General
- Recovery College Online is part of our trust and has lots of resources and information
- Childline can help anyone under the age of 19 in the UK with any issue they’re going through
- Healthier Together provides information for people living in the North East or North Cumbria
- The Royal College of Psychiatrists website includes information on young people’s mental health
- MindEd free educational resources are for children and young people to support their mental health
- Rethink Mental Illness offers useful advice and information about mental health support
- The Anna Freud website provides emotional and mental health resources
- Every Mind Matters mental health and self-care for young people including videos for tips on exercise, sleep and how to take care of yourself on social media
- SAS Kids (Suicide Awareness Support) by If U Care Share supports children and young people who have been bereaved or impacted by suicide or suspected suicide
- The Know Yourself series from The National Autistic Society provides resources aimed at autistic teenagers
- YoungMinds is the UK’s leading charity committed to improving the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people
- The Mix provides everything that’s needed to know about mental health, from anxiety and depression to self-care and counselling.
- Samaritans provides a telephone, email or online chat service to support to anyone in emotional distress or struggling to cope
- PAPYRUS is the UK charity dedicated to the prevention of suicide and the promotion of positive mental health and emotional wellbeing in young people
- Mind aims to make sure no one has to face a mental health problem alone
- Mermaids supports transgender, nonbinary and gender-diverse children/or young people, and their families
Books
The Reading Well for teens scheme recommends reading and digital resources to help you understand your feelings and boost your confidence. The booklist is targeted at teenagers (aged 13 to 18)

- Calm Harm is a free app to help teenagers manage the urge to self-harm
- Clear Fear can help you learn to reduce the physical responses to threat and anxiety
- HarmLess (iOS only) is a self-harm app that helps you track and manage your self-harm

North Yorkshire
- The Go-To for Emotional wellbeing and mental health provides information for people living in North Yorkshire
- Surviving in the Wild provides mental health resources for young people in Humber and North Yorkshire including videos and podcasts
- York Mind offer a range of information and services for young people aged 12 to 25
Durham and Tees Valley
- The Thrive after Tackling Trauma (TATT) service delivered by Darlington Mind offers trauma-informed counselling to children who have been affected by traumatic bereavement, including loss to suicide

- Healthier Together has information for Children aged 5 – 11 Years and Young People.
