Projects aimed at supporting health care and emergency service workers with their mental health and wellbeing could be offered cash backing.
Humber and North Yorkshire Resilience Hub is looking to fund “genuinely innovative projects” to help people overcome barriers to accessing health and well-being support.
“We welcome bids from any voluntary, community sector organisation or social enterprise to work with the Hub to support health and care staff across our region,” said a spokesperson.
“We want to help people to access support and reduce the likelihood of future escalation of mental health issues – and therefore increased risk of requiring high intensity support.”
An Information Workshop is to be held on October 19, from 9.30am, to provide further details about the funds on offer – and offer a chance to ask questions before applying.
The workshop will:
- go over the criteria for funding
- tell you about the types of projects we would expect to be supporting
- give you an opportunity to ask your questions
Funding provided will be used to expand outreach projects and create partnerships with the Hub, to enhance the support already on offer to all health, care and emergency service staff across Humber and North Yorkshire.
