We’re one of eight mental health trusts across the country to be awarded the Ministry of Defence contract to provide acute mental health inpatient services for serving military personnel.
The network of eight organisations gives comprehensive coverage across England and Scotland to ensure serving military personnel who require admission are within a two hour travel time from their base.
We have established effective links with Catterick Garrison to ensure patient admission, treatment and discharge is easy, safe and delivered in partnership with the military service liaison officers and clinical staff.
“The Armed Forces continues to work hard to ensure there is good awareness about mental health issues which may affect serving personnel and to ensure that the most appropriate care is available for those that do require treatment and we continue to make significant progress in these areas. The network of eight NHS mental health trusts means that our people get the best inpatient care available in an environment that is close to their homes or unit.”
