June marks Pride Month, a time to recognise and celebrate LGBTQ+ communities, acknowledge their contributions, and reaffirm our commitment to equality, inclusion and respect for all.
This year’s theme, Science and Innovation, highlights the significant contributions LGBTQ+ individuals have made, and continue to make, across healthcare, research and innovation.
Within the NHS, these contributions support improvements in patient care, drive progress, and help create a more inclusive workforce.
Our trust held a stall at Durham Pride on Saturday 30 May and joined in the celebrations.
