What is the Flash Technique?

When something hurts our feelings, we can be upset for a while.

Is the Flash technique right for me?

Your health worker will talk to you about the technique and answer any questions.

You will agree together if this is right for you.

If so, this can be added to your care plan.

Your health worker will make an appointment for the treatment with you.

The appointment will say where to come and what time.

What happens at the appointment?

At the appointment, you will know the person giving you the treatment.

The room you sit in will be quiet and private.

We will ask you to talk about a good memory you have.

We will ask you to blink a few times.

At the end of the appointment, we’ll ask you to tell us if the feelings are better.

This will help us know if the treatment has worked.
