There are lots of different people you might meet in CAMHS.
You might also meet:
- CAMHS nurses, who provide specialist care to help children and young people manage their thoughts and feelings so they can lead happy and healthy lives.
- occupational therapists, who help children and young people carry out the daily activities that they need or want to do, to lead healthy and fulfilling lives.
- dietitians, who help improve the physical health of children and young people by supporting them to eat well and develop a positive relationship with food.
- speech and language therapists, who work with children and young people to help them to communicate to the best of their ability.
- education mental health practitioners, who provide mental health support for children and young people in schools.
- children’s wellbeing practitioners, who help children and young with mental health problems and improve their access to therapies.
