Young people from Durham are helping to spread festive joy with their craft-making skills.
Members of the North Durham CAMHS participation group created Christmas wreaths and decorated the tree at our North End House site during a recent activity session.
Associate practitioner Suzanne Prowse said: “There were a lot of new attendees at the meeting, and everyone worked really hard. The results were amazing.
“We all listened to festive music, the staff dressed up in Christmas jumpers and there was a great atmosphere. Everyone absolutely loved it.”
Deck the halls with festive cheer
Two of the young people made wreaths to take home during the session, while several others worked together on a wreath for the front door of the Durham-based office.
“The idea to decorate the door came from the young people themselves, and it looks great. It’s the first time we’ve ever had a wreath, and everyone loves it,” said Suzanne.
“The group is all about getting feedback on our services, so we can co-create improvements in the future. This was a great way of getting together for a chat and having fun too.”
