Oakwood

Oakwood is an 8 bed male forensic rehabilitation ward. We work with people with learning disabilities and/or people who are autistic. The ward sits within our trust’s Health and Justice Service. We provide care for people who have come into contact with the criminal justice system. 

Oakwood offers a range of evidence-based recovery and rehabilitation interventions.

We work with a range of professionals and community services to promote:

• social inclusion
• improved quality of life
• effective risk management. 

We use the CHIME recovery principles. This means we aim to enhance opportunities for individuals to have a life with:

• connectedness in the community
• hope for the future
• a sense of identity
• meaningful activities which provide empowerment for our patients in their care journey.
