Using your medicines in hospital – Easy read

We will give you medicines at the right times.

If you do not want us to give you your medicines, please talk to us.

If you have medicine at home, we can ask someone you know to bring it in.

We will ask you first.

Bring all items prescribed by your doctor.

Bring all items you buy from a chemist or shop.

Keep the medicine in its packaging.

We check your medicines are safe.

We will talk to you if we have any concerns.

If you have medicine left and your medicines have not changed, you can take your medicine home.

If you have used your medicines, you will get a new supply.

If your medicines have changed, you will get a new supply.

You may leave with a mix of your own medicines and some from the hospital.
