Deprivation of Liberty Policy sets out to ensure that: TEWV staff are able to identify if/when a deprivation of liberty occurs; All newly admitted patients are assessed in relation to the definition of deprivation of liberty; and that Informal in-patients are re-assessed on a regular basis in relation to the definition of deprivation of liberty.
