People and teams across our trust who live our values of respect, compassion and responsibility and provide an excellent service can be nominated in one of the 11 categories below:

Nominations are open to both clinical and corporate colleagues and judged by a panel. Finalists are invited to an in-person ceremony where winners are announced. There is also a special Chair’s Award presented on the night.
Star Awards 2025

The awards returned with a fresh new look and feel, brand-new categories and updated criteria. The ceremony took place at Ramside Hall Hotel in Durham on Thursday 6 November 2025.

The Star Awards 2024 was held at the Leonardo Hotel in Middlesbrough on 23 October. We were joined by colleagues, volunteers, involvement members and partners who were nominated across nine categories.
Presented by mental health advocate Jake Mills, guests heard about each nominated person or team, the great work they do in the Trust and why they were nominated.
