David Jennings has today formally announced his decision to stand down from his role as Trust chair.
David, who joined TEWV in September 2022, is standing down for personal reasons.
He said: “This isn’t a decision I’ve taken lightly, however I feel I need to dedicate more time and energy to my family and loved ones.
“It’s been my absolute privilege to work alongside such committed colleagues and see first hand how passionate they are in serving our communities, in often very difficult circumstances.
“I would like to put on record my gratitude to my Board colleagues and the Council of Governors, and to everyone for their commitment to the people we serve.”
Patrick Scott, interim chief executive for our Trust said: “I would like to thank David for his dedication and belief in our improvement programme, Our Journey to Change, aimed at addressing how we work better with our patients and carers, our staff and being a better partner. We wish him well for the future.”
The Trust Board of Governors are responsible for appointing a permanent successor, however Deputy Chair, Bev Reilly will become chair of the Board and Council of Governors with immediate effect on an acting basis.
