Volunteer drivers play an important role in making sure patients and vital equipment can move around our trust and local communities. A volunteer driver helps with:
- transporting patients to and from outpatient appointments
- delivering medication, prescriptions and other essential supplies to patients’ homes
- transporting staff or equipment across our trust sites
The role offers excellent flexibility as volunteers can choose their shifts to fit around their schedules or can just commit to a few hours a week. Full training is provided and as a volunteer driver you’ll receive 45p per mile. All you need is a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
