During the event, held online on Friday 25th November the trust discussed what had been achieved on their ‘journey to change’, a five year plan launched in 2021 that outlines TEWV’s ambitions.
They also outlined plans for the next 12 months including making improvements in patient safety and care.
The theme of the event was lived experience, which means people with first-hand experience of mental illness as a patient or carer sharing their insights and experiences.
TEWV appointed two lived experience directors earlier this year.
External speaker Rai Waddingham and TEWV lived experience director Chris Morton gave presentations on the topic before fielding questions from guests.
The second half of the event included updates from TEWV chief executive Brent Kilmurray and director of finance, information and estates/facilities Liz Romaniak.
Trust chair David Jennings hosted the event and also participated in an open question and answer session which closed the afternoon.
Speaking about the event, David said: “This year’s Member’s and Annual General Meeting gave us an opportunity to demonstrate the changes and improvements that we have made within the trust since 2021.
“We were also able to outline our priorities for the upcoming year and answer some insightful questions from our communities who are rightfully keen that we continue to improve.”
The event was attended by more than 220 guests including members of the public, governors, trust staff and partners.
