Rosalind Betty, a patient who is due to be discharged shortly from the Community Mental Health Team services has kindly donated a canvas influenced by her journey of recovery to Acomb Garth in York.
Rosalind came to our services following a traumatic birth experience at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, and three years later is celebrating her own recovery.
Painting has been a big part of Rosalind’s recovery journey and she wanted to create the piece as a way of saying thank you to all the people who have supported her over the last few years.

Rosalind said she was ‘’Immeasurably grateful’’ for all the help she has received to help her reach the point she is at today.
‘’There have been some key people during my time with services who have just been amazing, especially my care coordinator Nicole, they’ve held hope for me when I couldn’t, and been patient when I’ve struggled.”
On her final day of treatment, Rosalind donated her canvas to her care-coordinator Nicole who has supported her throughout at Acomb Garth in York.
