The Star Awards celebrate the #TEWVstars who do amazing work across the Trust, going the extra mile in everything they do.

Living our values

This award is open to individuals or teams who work for Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust, including individuals who work as part of an integrated team/service.
This award will be presented to an individual or team who consistently go above and beyond to live the Trust values of respect, compassion and responsibility in everything they do. This individual or team’s drive, commitment and support makes a genuine difference to others.
Partnership working

This award is open to organisations working in partnership with Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust. (Please note this also includes charities).
The partnership award showcases collaborations and partnerships driving transformational change and improving the experience of patients and carers across the Trust. We want to hear about the projects, innovations and services delivering improvements that you are proud of and recognise these partnerships for their achievements.
Nominate nowExcellence in learning

This award is open to individuals who work for Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust, including individuals who work as part of an integrated team/service.
This award recognises a commitment to personal and professional development. Someone using the knowledge and skills they have learned to benefit our services and/or patient care.
Volunteer of the year

This award is open to individuals and teams who volunteer for Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust, including individuals who work as part of an integrated team/service.
- Volunteers: people who support the Trust but are not employed by TEWV or its partner organisations
This award will be presented to an individual or team who is not employed by TEWV, but who has made a significant contribution to the Trust by giving their time freely. They could be a volunteer, a carer or support our Recovery College. Someone who has used their own skills and experiences to improve people’s lives. Their contribution will have created a positive impact for people with mental ill health or learning disabilities.
The judges will be looking for evidence of:
- exceptional contribution to the Trust and the people we support
- commitment to helping the Trust continually improve and develop
Involvement member of the year

This award is open to any service user or carer who has contributed to the Trust though co-creation or involvement and engagement activity.
This award will be presented to an individual with lived experience, who has made a significant contribution to the Trust through co-creation. It will be awarded to someone who has drawn on their own lived experience to contribute to change in the Trust.

This award is open to individuals or teams who work for Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust, including individuals who work as part of an integrated team/service.
This award is presented to a team or individual that has made a real difference to the experience of the people in our care, their family members and carers. We invite nominations for people who have gone the extra mile to support you – who deserve to be recognised for their kindness and compassion or who has embraced a way of working to help and support others.
This person/team should be:
- an outstanding employee/team
- someone who supports the people in our care, their family members and carers
- someone who makes a difference by their words or actions
Wellbeing contribution

This award is open to individuals or teams who work for Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust, including individuals who work as part of an integrated team/service.
This award is open to both individuals and teams and recognises the outstanding work being done to promote wellbeing throughout the Trust. This can include a person, activity or initiative run over the last year.
Co-creation in action

This award is open to individuals or teams who work for Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust, including individuals who work as part of an integrated team/service who have run an activity.
This award celebrates excellent examples of staff working with our involvement partners, including patients, carers and families. This can include an activity, initiative or new way of working that has been co-created.

This award is open to individuals who work for Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust, including individuals who work as part of an integrated team/service.
The individual must be:
- at an early stage of their career
- worked for the Trust for less than three years
This award will be presented to an individual who has demonstrated an appetite to progress their career. Someone who commits to learning and to their own personal development while positively contributing to the Trust and delivery of services.
The individual should have:
- a commitment to personal development
- exceeded expectations in a particular area or project
- constantly achieved and attained a high standard of work
- demonstrated innovative qualities in the workplace
Lifetime achievement

This award is open to individuals who work for Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust, including individuals who work as part of an integrated team/service.
This award will be presented to a member of staff with 25 or more years of NHS service who has consistently demonstrated a high quality of performance and significant contribution to the organisation.
The individual should have:
- made a lasting contribution to NHS services in a corporate or clinical setting
- shown positive practice and/or exemplary care to patients and/or colleagues
Chair’s award

This award will be presented to shortlisted nominees and winners of the other awards listed. The Chair will select one person or team who live our values, are brilliant at doing their job, and deserve a special mention for their positive and outstanding efforts during the year.
