We're recruiting for nurses now

We're looking for nurses to join our team in County Durham and Darlington.

We're asking nurses looking for a new challenge, returning to practice or who are newly qualified, to come along to a recruitment event on Friday 19 August at Emirates Riverside Cricket Ground in Chester-le-Street.

Staff, service users and carers will be on hand between 10am and 7pm to speak to attendees about the services we provide and a number of exciting posts that are currently available.

On the spot interviews will be held for vacant posts and full constructive feedback will be given to all who take part. All successful applicants will be eligible for permanent positions at the Trust and supportive preceptorship arrangements will be in place for all newly qualified staff.  The Trust will also provide bespoke development programmes for successful students.

Beverley Vardon-Odonkor, head of human resources and assurance said, “We have a reputation as being one of the best mental health and learning disabilities Trusts in the country.  Our staff continue to recommend us as a great place to work and we have achieved the gold Investors in People (IIP) standard.

“We are committed to delivering efficiency through clinician-led quality improvement events and our reputation for providing excellent services helps us to regularly secure new contracts. We recently have received funding for a new children and young people’s crisis service which we will be recruiting for at the event”.

More information about the event and current vacancies are available via the NHS jobs website.

Interested individuals are welcome to pop along and do not need to register to attend.
