We are hosting a national offender health conference entitled ‘Getting it Together - Making a Positive Impact on Offender Mental Health’ in partnership with Prison and Offender Research in Health and Social Care North East (PORSCHNE).
The conference, which will take place 11 October, Radisson Blu Hotel, Durham, 9am - 4pm, will highlight the positive work carried out around offender health in the last year and will involve a wide range of speakers from across the health and criminal justice system.
Lord Bradley will provide an update on developments in offender health since his 2009 Bradley report .
Speakers from the Police, Courts and Prison Service will be providing their perspectives on offender health.
Dr Aboaja, consultant forensic psychiatrist and researcher, will present a global overview of prison mental health.
