Calling all residents across Teesside, County Durham and North Yorkshire, we want you to nominate your healthcare heroes for our Making a Difference Awards.
Our Making a Difference Awards are held each year, to recognise the dedication and achievements of our staff and we want to know which member of staff has gone that extra mile and shone for you.
This year there are ten award categories including our brand new ‘People’s Choice’ award. The ‘People’s Choice’ award celebrates an individual or team who has gone the extra mile to provide help and support, and who deserve to be recognised for their care and compassion.
Nominations will close on 5 November so please get yours in quickly. A shortlist for the ‘People’s Choice’ category will then be released later in the year for people to vote for their final winner.
One of last year’s award winners, Debra Wood, a support worker from children and young people’s services, was nominated by a parent for making a real breakthrough in her daughter’s care. The parent described her as ‘a lifeline’, who is ‘encouraging, compassionate and motivating’.
Debra was ‘absolutely thrilled to have won the award’ and sent a huge thank you to her nominator for taking the time to put her forward. Being nominated for a Making a Difference Award really means a lot our staff and highlights the difference that they make to the lives of so many across the Trust area.
If you have someone you would like to thank and recognise we would love to hear from you. You can make your nomination by completing the online registration forms or by calling 01325 552223. The closing date for nominations is Thursday 5 November.
All shortlisted entrants will be invited to an evening awards ceremony on 11 March 2016 where the winners will be announced.
