Find out about mental health and learning disability services in Teesside

Come along to an information event at Billingham Forum on Tuesday 20 September.

Did you know that one in four people will experience mental ill health in their lifetime?

Come along to an event at Billingham Forum, The Causeway, Billingham, TS23 2LJ on 20 September and find out more about services available locally to support individuals who are living with mental ill health or a learning disability.

The information event, hosted by the Trust, gives people the chance to talk to staff from a range of our services across Teesside, including perinatal services, crisis and liaison child and adolescent mental health services, liaison psychiatry and street triage.  Information on how you can get involved with the Trust, including volunteering and research opportunities, will also be available and you can discuss recent developments such as our new smokefree status with the people in the know.

Representatives from the voluntary sector and partner agencies will also be on hand to discuss the support they are able to provide.

Kathryn Ord, deputy trust secretary, organising the event on behalf of the Trust’s council of governors said: “People don’t always know where to turn for information and advice but there’s a lot of support available in Teesside. We have over 20 services and organisations attending the information showcase and I would encourage people to come along and speak to the professionals about how they can access this.  The event is also a great networking opportunity where you can have a chat to people who may have similar experiences.”

“The information showcase is open to everyone and people are welcome to just turn up on the day; no booking required. Refreshments are also provided”
