The trust holds regular public engagement events and meetings in each of its constituency locations. These events/meetings provide an opportunity to members of the public to meet with their governor representatives and also staff from the trust. It is an opportunity for you to:

  • Find out what the trust is involved with in your local area
  • Ask questions about the services the trust provides
  • Find out about any new developments or plans for the area
  • Network with governors and other members of the trust
  • Put forward your views on any current consultations

Information Showcase for County Durham and Darlington

On 27 June 2018 we will be showcasing a range of services and support available within County Durham and Darlington from the Trust and voluntary sector.

There will also be the opportunity to participate in a workshop on the afternoon to discuss plans around the Crisis and Recovery House provision. 


Transforming mental health services in Hambleton and Richmondshire

Following the public consultation in 2017 on the provision of community services in Hambleton and Richmondshire, information events are being held throughout April and May 2018.

10 October 2017 - World Mental Health Day - Strictly Mental Health 2

Strictly Mental Health 2 is a showcase to celebrate World Mental Health Day in the Borough of Hartlepool  Lots of organisations including the Trust have come together to create awareness of mental health.  There will be the opportunity to take part in social dancing, visit information stands or listen to a choir.  This is a free event and complimentary soup and roll with refreshments will be served.  Why not pop along!!  10am -4.00pm at The Borough Hall, Middlegate Hartlepool TS24 0JD.

10 October 2017 - Scarborough and Ryedale - Information Showcase

The trust, governors, service users and carers and local organisations are coming together to host an information showcase day on World Mental Health Day - Turning of the Tide Festival on 10 October 2017 .  The event will be held at the Stephen Joseph Theatre in Scarborough between 10am and 2pm.  22 information standards and two separate workshops will be held for people to visit and attend. 

This is a public meeting and anyone is welcome.  Free refreshments and a tombola will also be available to all attendees.

19 September 2017 - Information Showcase for County Durham


The trust will be hosting an information showcase on Thursday 19 September 2017 between 11.30am and 2.00pm at Consett Methodist Church, Station Road, Consett DH8 6GE.  Members of the public are invited to come along and find out about advice, support and treatment in the area for mental health and learning disability. 

A workshop will also be held at 1pm  on a Positive Approach to Care 'Seeing it from the Other Side' which will help understand the perspective of a person living with Dementia.

County Durham and Darlington

One in four people will experience mental ill health in their lifetime.  In partnership with Healthwatch County Durham and Healthwatch Darlington, we are hosting an information event at St. Augustine's Parish Centre in Darlington.  We are aksing local people to come along and find out more about mental health and learning disabilities services available in the area.
