The flu vaccination is also called: flu jab or flu injection.

Having the flu vaccination is free and it is really important.

It can stop us getting flu.

Flu can make us cough, sneeze and feel ill.

The best time to have the flu vaccination is in October or November.

You will get a letter from your doctor inviting you to have your flu vaccination.

If you are a carer for a person who may be put at risk if you fall ill, and/or if you are in receipt of Carer’s Allowance, you should be offered a free flu jab.

The nurse at your doctors surgery will give you your free flu vaccination.

Tell the nurse if you are frightened of injections or needles. She will talk to you and help you.

The flu vaccination can help you stay healthy.
