The Northern Deanery has two mental health and learning disabilities trusts. Once you have completed your core training you may be based in this trust or Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust, or even both throughout your high training scheme depending on your chosen speciality. Medical staffing
Our medical staffing department is responsible for the recruitment, employment and development of career grade medical staff. We take part in the Clinical Excellence Awards, which recognise and reward NHS consultant and academic GPs who perform 'over and above' the standard expected of their role.
