How to access the service

Referral are made to the County Durham and Darlington inpatient rehabilitation service by a care coordinator.

About Primrose Lodge

Primrose Lodge is a 15 bedded unit. Both male and female residents are welcome due to having completely separate bedroom areas, with each resident having a key to their own bedroom.

Bathrooms and toilets are male/female specific, and separate shower rooms are available.

A lounge, games room, conservatory, kitchen, laundry and dining facilities are available, to be shared by all residents. A female resident only lounge is also available.

The lounge has a television, including sky channels. The games room has a pool table.

The dining room can seat 15 residents at a time, while the kitchen allows several residents to cook at the same time. Residents can prepare meals with staff support if needed. Both electric and gas cookers are available.

There may be times when these visiting times are not suitable for relatives or friends wishing to visit. If there is a problem, please discuss this with the named nurse who may be able to negotiate other times.
